Nyanyas of Niagara - Fall Fundraiser
The Nyanyas of Niagara are holding their annual fall fundraiser in support of the Stephen Lewis Foundations’ Grandmothers to Grandmothers (G2G) campaign.
Who we are & What we do?
The Niagara-on-the-Lake Nyanyas of Niagara group is one of over 240 grandmother and grand other groups across Canada raising money for the Stephen Lewis Foundations’ Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign.
The G2G Campaign has raised over $24 million in 11 years! In 2016, the Nyanyas of Niagara have raised a whopping $10,180.63and $90,528.31 since the inception of our little group in 2007!! The funds provide food, housing, school fees and uniforms, medicine, grief counselling and much more to grandmothers in 15 sub-Saharan African countries who are raising their grandchildren orphaned due to the HIV/AIDS pandemic. We hold 2 major fundraising events per year (spring and fall).
